About

Having lived in Hong Kong and Asia for almost thirty years, artist Gail Deayton is interested in the interactions between culture, landscape and tradition in conjunction with line, form and movement. Her work moves between contemporary large-scale, to smaller delicate forms.

Deayton’s sculptures, drawings and prints have been bought for global private collections as well as for corporate entities in Hong Kong such as Amber Restaurant in the Landmark Mandarin Hotel, the St Regis Hotel, Shenzhen, and law firms Herbert- Smith- Freehills Kramer and DLA Piper.

Gail Deayton is a truly talented Hong Kong artist and sculptor. I have admired Gail's work for many years and am honoured to own one of Gail's pieces which I have displayed in my home. Her work has a connection with Hong Kong in a very unique and personal way. Gail Deayton from Hong Kong Art Tutoring has not only shown an enormous amount of kindness in arranging numerous Christmas present drives and food donations for the Down syndrome and autistic community of Love 21 Foundation, but has also used her large network to bring together the Hong Kong Cricket club and members of the community to host a series of art classes for Love 21 members. Gail's passion and patience have allowed members to express themselves and create meaningful pieces of art that have subsequently been used to manufacture merchandise for fund raising, as well as being displayed in organisations and sold by auction. Love 21 members enjoy the fun activities, whilst being included into society.

I collaborate with NGOs and community organisations to create tailor made projects, where corporations have the opportunity to invest in art activities that make a difference to socially disadvantaged areas in our community.

These partnerships, proceeds and commissions create and build meaningful relationships and causes. Each art project reflects a shared purpose, be it creativity in service, community engagement or fundraising, all of which help positive social change.

In addition, I work regularly with a wide number of schools running workshops, creating murals or consulting on university applications.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking fosters creativity, innovation and communication at its very heart.

The tailor made programs that I offer encourage people to build their confidence and understanding of creativity through the vehicle of Art.

The application and use of creativity in every corner of your workspace is vital for growth and progression of any successful business. My fun and engaging activities explore unconventional ways of working whilst reflecting on the parallels and intuitive ways in which a creative lense might open up new and progressive lines in their daily work lives that might not have been previously considered or explored.
